Onion/Garlic

Signs of onion/garlic toxicity include:

• lethargy
• weakness
• vomiting
• bloody urine or stools

In large amounts, onions and garlic can cause anemia (decreased red blood cells).  The toxicity signs are secondary to the anemia.  For dogs, INDUCE VOMITING and monitor the pet over the next few days for the signs of toxicity.  For cats, seek veterinary assistance immediately.
