An aspirin regime is sometimes advised by veterinarians for dogs. Aspirin at the correct dosage can be a safe and efffective anti-inflammatory for dogs. Do not administer aspirin without the advice of a veterinary professional as there are many side effects to an improper dosage such as stomach ulceration and bleeding. Cats are much less tolerant to aspirin than dogs. If your cat has ingested aspirin, seek veterinary assistance immediately. If your dog has ingested an excess of aspirin,INDUCE VOMITING and seek veterinary assistance for follow-up care.
Note: Pepto-Bismol contains ASA therefore do not administer this to your pet unless advised by a veterinary professional.
