You have just adopted a new puppy or kitten, now what do you do? There are vaccinations to consider, spaying (female) or neutering (male), microchips, tattoos, dog licenses, heartworm, regular deworming…the list goes on and on.
First, find a veterinarian in your area that you and your pet can establish a relationship with. Look in the phonebook under veterinarians, and call around to compare prices for the above-mentioned procedures. Ask friends or family members to refer you to a veterinarian with whom they have had a good experience with and consider visiting them. You will want to find a veterinary clinic that you are comfortable and happy with so you can continue to go there for the life of your pet.
